The Colts looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Karson Sharar at the 214th pick regardless, 117 picks early. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Garrett Nussmeier is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. A whole weekend of picks and tight end is somehow still a want.

On value alone, Trost makes the weekend a net positive.

In the end, a class that has to defy its grades just to matter.
