The Broncos bet big and early on Adam Randall, 37 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
The Stowers pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Value with a capital V on Eli Stowers in pick 73, a genuine coup. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Darrell Jackson Jr. in the 108th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A tidy bit of business in slot 121, where Jalon Kilgore graded well above the range. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
A straight-up fair deal on Oscar Delp at the Round 4 slot, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
No drama and no debate, Travis Burke went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 30. The roster fit checks out.
Bryce Boettcher at the 190th pick is money in the bank, a linebacker taken below his worth. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They reached a country mile for Adam Randall at Round 7, Pick 30, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Diego Pavia at slot 256 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A reach on Logan Taylor in the 257th overall pick; the board had better options right there. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
