The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Ainias Smith, pick No. 219, roughly 44 picks past where he belonged.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They are betting Burke proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
