The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named quarterback, a need the Cardinals walked right past. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
On value alone, Alexander makes the weekend a net positive. They are betting Mbow proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
On the needs board they went 2 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
Mykel Williams in the Round 1 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A premium they did not need to pay, Marcus Mbow a notch or two before his time. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Nice patience on Zy Alexander, who had no business lasting to No. 78. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
