Thirty-one other rooms let Jake Majors slide, and the Texans were the ones holding the card at the 165th pick. Highway robbery.
The cost of the Farmer reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The wide receiver spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get an anchor for the offensive line, though the board says they badly overpaid. A real need, handled.
The board fumbled Jalon Walker all the way to the Round 2 slot, and they scooped it up. The roster fit checks out.
They paid sticker price for Elijah Arroyo in pick 89, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Joshua Farmer in the 126th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Steal is underselling it; Jake Majors at the 165th pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Woody Marks in slot 241 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
