Thirty-one other rooms let Tyrone Tracy Jr. slide, and the Giants were the ones holding the card at the 183rd pick. Highway robbery. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The Holker reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
Joe Alt at pick No. 6 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They did well to land Kamren Kinchens in No. 70, just ahead of his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They took Leonard Taylor III at par in Round 4, Pick 7, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Dallin Holker in pick 141 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. at the 183rd pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
