The Eagles' one glaring miss is interior defensive lineman, a need they left exactly as they found it. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. If Kamara pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 23 they get a downhill thumper at linebacker, outstanding value to boot.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Eli Stowers at the 68th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
A slide stopped in pick No. 98, with Zakee Wheatley worth more than the price. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Bud Clark in the Round 4 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A reach for Isaiah World in the 137th pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Mikail Kamara at No. 138 is a conviction pick that outran the value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Malik Benson at pick 153 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Travis Burke in Round 5, Pick 38 lands just on the right side of the ledger. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Aaron Anderson slipping to slot 197 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Thaddeus Dixon slid further than he should have, and the 239th overall pick is lovely value for the cornerback. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They paid sticker price for Jaydn Ott in No. 241, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
