Call it larceny. Jalon Daniels sat on the board until pick 136, and the Cardinals did not need to be asked twice. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
Hemingway has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 8th overall pick they get protection for the quarterback. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A slide stopped in the 40th pick, with Garrett Nussmeier worth more than the price. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Parker Brailsford at pick 72 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Tonka Hemingway in slot 104 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It fills a real need, too.
