Start where it matters. The Giants took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. That Dorlus pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with safety the one that mattered most.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
No edge and no loss on Jayden Daniels in pick No. 6; it is a wash and a sensible one. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Chop Robinson at No. 39 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A clean, defensible pick in slot 47 with a little surplus value in Tyler Guyton. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Value with a capital V on Brandon Dorlus in the 70th overall pick, a genuine coup. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Khyree Jackson in the 107th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
Good price on James Williams in pick 143, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A straight-up fair deal on Theo Wease Jr. at the Round 6 slot, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
