Thirty-one other rooms let Smael Mondon Jr. slide, and the Cardinals were the ones holding the card at the Round 4 slot. Highway robbery. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Griffith has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 19 they get a home-run threat at receiver, outstanding value to boot. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Hollin Pierce. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Cade Klubnik at pick No. 83 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They robbed the room for Smael Mondon Jr. here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Davison Igbinosun in the 156th pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Thor Griffith this early at the Round 6 slot. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
