B+
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons left with their quarterback, and a B+ to match.

2024 NFL Draft
· 8 picks
· 1 steals
· 4 reaches
They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Falcons' quarterback, full stop.
The McGlothern reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 8 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Bralen Trice in Round 2, Pick 15 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It fills a real need, too.
Roman Wilson at No. 74 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Leonard Taylor III. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Roger Rosengarten at pick 142 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A reach on Josh Proctor in the Round 6 slot; the board had better options right there. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They reached into another round for Omar Speights, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The roster fit checks out.
A big swing on Dwight McGlothern at the 241st overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
