You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Vikings did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Reaching for Davis left real value on the table behind him.

The Vikings clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. The Beebe pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
