The Cowboys looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Michael Pratt at pick No. 60 regardless, 78 picks early.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.

Lovett falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
