Thirty-one other rooms let Jonah Elliss slide, and the Giants were the ones holding the card at pick 186. Highway robbery. A D that will need time and luck to look better.
The cost of the Magee reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.
Caleb Williams gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. The Giants clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 12 they get their guy under center for the next decade, and a steal at that.
In the 13th pick they get a true top target at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
In the 26th overall pick they get protection for the quarterback, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
In pick No. 28 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Chris Braswell in Round 2, Pick 7 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A quiet steal in slot 47: Tyler Nubin for less than the market said. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A tidy bit of business in pick 57, where Kris Jenkins graded well above the range. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Steal is underselling it; Graham Barton at the Round 2 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They barely believed it either: Ja'Tavion Sanders still on the board at the 70th pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.

A swing that ignored the value entirely, Trey Knox well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They talked themselves into Jordan Magee at the Round 6 slot, and the board did not agree. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
