The Giants spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Adonai Mitchell, the No. 32 name on the board, in the Round 4 slot.
They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. On the needs board they went 5 of 9, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a difference-maker at receiver. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Quinyon Mitchell at the 39th pick is the proof. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Drake Maye in slot 47, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
The board fumbled Jordan Morgan all the way to Round 3, Pick 6, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Adonai Mitchell in No. 108 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Steal is underselling it; Junior Colson at pick No. 140 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Brennan Jackson at the 185th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
