The Giants did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Dallas Turner fell into pick No. 71.
The Leveston reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. For all the activity, safety went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 6 they get a matchup problem out wide. The biggest hole, addressed.
You do not let a quarterback like Caleb Williams reach pick No. 47 and blink. They did not. The roster fit checks out.
Dallas Turner in pick 71 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It fills a real need, too.
Brenden Rice at Round 4, Pick 7 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Steal is underselling it; Caelen Carson at slot 138 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
