The Giants did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Adisa Isaac fell into the 111th pick. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.
Everything downstream of Jayden Daniels depends on Jayden Daniels, and the building knows it. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The Green reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
Pick-by-Pick
Jayden Daniels at pick No. 12 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
In the 22nd overall pick they get a go-to option on the outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
No drama and no debate, Bo Nix went about where he belonged in pick 33. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Laiatu Latu in the Round 2 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A need, and now a little less of one.
They paid a round early for Max Melton in the 48th overall pick, more than the board wanted. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Javon Bullard at slot 49 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
