Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The Pratt pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
The veteran additions, John Franklin-Myers chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 8 they get the arm they will build around at fair value. A real need, handled.
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a weapon on the perimeter, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
They barely believed it either: Laiatu Latu still on the board at No. 39. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Nice patience on Terrion Arnold, who had no business lasting to slot 40. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Steal is underselling it; Tyler Guyton at the 48th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Darius Robinson is a better player than the Round 2 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.

You do not let a wide receiver like Ricky Pearsall reach the Round 3 slot and blink. They did not. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
