The search is over. The Giants handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 3 of 9 of the wish list covered. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
No edge and no loss on Jayden Daniels in pick No. 5; it is a wash and a sensible one. It fills a real need, too.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jeremiah Trotter Jr.. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
By-the-book stuff, Kris Jenkins at slot 54 squarely in line with his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Sedrick Van Pran in the Round 3 slot. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A clean, defensible pick in pick 105 with a little surplus value in Graham Barton. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
