The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Jets spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
The Travis pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The Sinnott value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 7 they get their guy under center for the next decade. The biggest hole, addressed.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Tyler Guyton in Round 3, Pick 7. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
A real head-scratcher, Jordan Travis in slot 107 is miles ahead of his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Khyree Jackson at the 144th pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A top-tier tight end at a bargain, Ben Sinnott in the Round 6 slot, plain and simple. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Francisco Mauigoa at pick 228 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Jalen Berger at No. 255 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A need, and now a little less of one.
A reach for Kenny Logan Jr. in the 256th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
