The Dolphins treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick 154 on DJ Uiagalelei a full 115 spots early.
The Skattebo pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Will Fries deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

A interior defensive lineman of that caliber at slot 98 is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
The board fumbled Deontae Lawson all the way to the 117th overall pick, and they scooped it up. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They will replay TreVeyon Henderson at the Round 4 slot for years; that is how good the value is. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Carson Vinson in pick 149 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They left a pile of value on the table to take DJ Uiagalelei this early at pick No. 154. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Circle this one: Mason Taylor at the 191st overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It fills a real need, too.
They barely believed it either: Cam Skattebo still on the board at slot 224. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Jack Kiser in Round 7, Pick 15, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
Taking Jared Wilson in No. 252 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
