The rest of the league will want that one back. Darius Alexander tumbling to the Cardinals in No. 153 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. The cost of the Williams reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
You do not let an edge rusher like Landon Jackson reach the 47th overall pick and blink. They did not. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No drama and no debate, Carson Schwesinger went about where he belonged in No. 78. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They took Kyle McCord at par in pick 114, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Darius Alexander at Round 5, Pick 14 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
