There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Packers started one anyway for Trajan Jeffcoat, 83 picks ahead of schedule. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

The Mitchell pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

The Bishop pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at quarterback and interior defensive lineman. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
