San Francisco 49ers

No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the 49ers.

The 49ers torched the value chart for Billy Schrauth, taking him 61 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

That Singleton pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Job largely done: offensive lineman settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.27 · Pick 27 · Max Iheanachor · OT · rank 46
In pick No. 27 they get a long-term starter on the line, though the board says they badly overpaid. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.26 · Pick 58 · Billy Schrauth · OG · rank 119
A big swing on Billy Schrauth at Round 2, Pick 26, well ahead of any board in the building. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R4.27 · Pick 127 · Nicholas Singleton · RB · rank 108
They barely believed it either: Nicholas Singleton still on the board at the Round 4 slot. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R4.33 · Pick 133 · Justin Joly · TE · rank 122
Justin Joly slid further than he should have, and No. 133 is lovely value for the tight end. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R4.38 · Pick 138 · Jude Bowry · OT · rank 129
A slide stopped in pick 138, with Jude Bowry worth more than the price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R4.39 · Pick 139 · Harold Perkins Jr. · LB · rank 133
Harold Perkins Jr. at the 139th overall pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
