Call it larceny. Quinshon Judkins sat on the board until No. 172, and the Cowboys did not need to be asked twice. The bottom line is a respectable B.
They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The cost of the Igbinosun reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 14 they get a difference-maker at receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They barely believed it either: Will Campbell still on the board at the Round 2 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Circle this one: Shavon Revel Jr. at pick No. 77 is a fall that decides a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Derrick Harmon at the 113th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
Jonah Coleman at No. 151 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They robbed the room for Kurtis Rourke here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The roster fit checks out.
They reached into another round for Davison Igbinosun, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
You do not let a running back like Quinshon Judkins reach pick 172 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Barion Brown is a better player than pick No. 188 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Alfred Collins well ahead of where he belonged. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
