The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Damien Martinez, the Round 7 slot, roughly 81 picks past where he belonged. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Conner has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a weapon on the perimeter at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Alfred Collins in the Round 2 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A tidy little value on Mason Taylor in slot 89, a step better than break-even. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Hayden Conner in pick 127 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
CJ West in No. 167 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Steal is underselling it; Damien Martinez at the 243rd overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
