The rest of the league had time to spare on Dont'e Thornton Jr.; the Texans did not wait, grabbing him 47 spots ahead at pick No. 127.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Sanders.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a blindside protector, even if it was a touch early.
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Alfred Collins. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Jayden Higgins is a better player than Round 3, Pick 25 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
