You build a draft on nights like this. Phil Mafah had no business being available in the 243rd pick, and the Texans did the only sane thing and turned in the card. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. Exactly the need they had to hit.

They took Jaylin Noel at par in pick 89, which is nothing to complain about. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
