The war room fell hard for Bam Martin-Scott, and it showed at pick No. 243: 89 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
That Sanders pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Job largely done: running back settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

In No. 25 they get a disruptive interior force at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A premium they did not need to pay, Tate Ratledge a notch or two before his time. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A wild overpay on Dont'e Thornton Jr. in Round 3, Pick 25, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Circle this one: Jordan Phillips at the 127th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
The board fumbled Raheim Sanders all the way to pick No. 167, and they scooped it up. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A big swing on Bam Martin-Scott at the Round 7 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. The roster fit checks out.
