You could see the war room lean forward. TJ Hall at the 243rd overall pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most.
They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a green-dot type in the middle. A real need, handled.
In pick 29 they get a blindside protector at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Kenyon Sadiq at pick No. 38 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They did well to land Christen Miller in the Round 2 slot, just ahead of his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.

A cornerback of that caliber at Round 7, Pick 27 is the definition of value, full stop. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
