Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Texans came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

Payne has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. Landing Taaffe that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
