Call it larceny. Jadarian Price sat on the board until Round 4, Pick 6, and the Texans did not need to be asked twice. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. They left with running back solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 28th overall pick they get a building block for the line. A real need, handled.
Sonny Styles is a better player than No. 29 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
No drama and no debate, Emmanuel Pregnon went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 6. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Circle this one: Caleb Banks at pick No. 59 is a fall that decides a draft. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
The board had Christen Miller higher than the 69th pick, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
The board fumbled Jadarian Price all the way to the Round 4 slot, and they scooped it up. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A tidy bit of business in slot 141, where Oscar Delp graded well above the range. It fills a real need, too.

Thaddeus Dixon at Round 7, Pick 27 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A minor itch, scratched.
