Whoever sat across the table from the Texans should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.

That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
