Green Bay Packers

Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for Harris: B.

The Packers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Tre Harris, the No. 35 name on the board, in the Round 5 slot. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.23 · Pick 23 · Travis Hunter · CB · rank 3
In the 23rd overall pick they get a press-man option on the boundary, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
R2.23 · Pick 55 · Malaki Starks · S · rank 15
A safety of that caliber at the Round 2 slot is the definition of value, full stop. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R3.23 · Pick 87 · Ajani Cornelius · OT · rank 58
Ajani Cornelius at pick No. 87 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It fills a real need, too.
R4.23 · Pick 119 · Jabbar Muhammad · CB · rank 28
Jabbar Muhammad in slot 119 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R5.23 · Pick 151 · Tre Harris · WR · rank 35
You do not let a wide receiver like Tre Harris reach Round 5, Pick 23 and blink. They did not. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R6.23 · Pick 183 · Riley Mahlman · OT · rank 118
Riley Mahlman in pick 183 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R7.23 · Pick 215 · Bryce Foster · C · rank 163
They robbed the room for Bryce Foster here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
