The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Jamari Thrash slide 101 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
Everything downstream of Jayden Daniels depends on Jayden Daniels, and the building knows it. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

In pick 3 they get the face of the franchise. A real need, handled.
The board fumbled Olumuyiwa Fashanu all the way to No. 34, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
