Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Jacob Rodriguez at the Round 1 slot is 40 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The Hood pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback and edge rusher still on the board.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
