This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Nehemiah Pritchett, the No. 143 name on the board, stolen at slot 173. A weekend of give and take that grades a C+.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.
It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Ja'Tavion Sanders at slot 36, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
By-the-book stuff, Patrick Paul at Round 2, Pick 32 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Brenden Rice at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No edge and no loss on Christian Mahogany in the 100th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Jalen McMillan. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
No drama and no debate, Christian Jones went about where he belonged in pick 132. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Tommy Eichenberg at No. 152 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Dylan Laube at pick No. 159 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Nehemiah Pritchett in pick No. 173 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
They paid sticker price for Miyan Williams in the 252nd pick, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
