The rest of the league will want that one back. Romello Height tumbling to the Chiefs in the 109th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
The cost of the Jackson reach is exactly the players who went right after him. For all the activity, offensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a go-to option on the outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
In the 29th pick they get a run-stuffing presence up front at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Fair-plus on Dillon Thieneman, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Eli Stowers at Round 3, Pick 28 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Steal is underselling it; Romello Height at No. 109 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It fills a real need, too.
The board fumbled Domonique Orange all the way to pick 112, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
No edge and no loss on Charles Demmings in pick No. 148; it is a wash and a sensible one. A minor itch, scratched.
A wild overpay on Domani Jackson in slot 152, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
