Call it larceny. Max Klare sat on the board until pick No. 112, and the Chiefs did not need to be asked twice. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Every board in the league had Wetjen lower, and that gap is the story. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
