They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
The Wright value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
No drama and no debate, Jayden Daniels went about where he belonged in slot 6. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A tidy bit of business in the Round 2 slot, where Troy Franklin graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Graham Barton at the 47th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Edgerrin Cooper in pick No. 70. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
A reach for Mohamed Kamara in Round 4, Pick 7; a little patience would have been rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Kamal Hadden in the 143rd overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They barely believed it either: Jaylen Wright still on the board at pick 185. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
