They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Vikings' quarterback, full stop.

Landing Mustapha that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Reaching for McCarthy left real value on the table behind him. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
