Start where it matters. The Vikings took Jayden Daniels to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but safety.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 5th pick they get a franchise quarterback at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Chris Braswell in Round 2, Pick 10 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
No drama and no debate, MarShawn Lloyd went about where he belonged in No. 107. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A quiet steal in slot 128: Andru Phillips for less than the market said. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Justin Eboigbe in pick No. 156 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Luke McCaffrey. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
No edge and no loss on Ty'Ron Hopper in pick 176; it is a wash and a sensible one. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
The board had cheaper options than Justin Rogers at the 187th overall pick, and it noticed. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They let Garret Greenfield come to them and pounced at Round 7, Pick 10. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
