They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Vikings' quarterback, full stop.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Lovett.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
By-the-book stuff, Jayden Daniels at the 5th pick squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Chris Braswell. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Isaac Guerendo at No. 107 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Cedric Gray in Round 4, Pick 28 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A quiet steal in pick No. 156: Fabien Lovett for less than the market said. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
