Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Vikings, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Little went right, and the F does not pretend otherwise.
Drake Maye gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.
Jones has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The Murphy value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

No edge and no loss on Drake Maye in No. 4; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
In the Round 1 slot they get a weapon on the perimeter. A real need, handled.
T'Vondre Sweat at Round 2, Pick 11 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It fills a real need, too.
DJ James slipping to slot 104 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. A minor need, but a need all the same.
They paid sticker price for Cole Bishop in the 108th overall pick, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Circle this one: Gabriel Murphy at pick No. 109 is a fall that decides a draft. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
