When a board-topper like Isaiah World slides to pick 209, you do not overthink it, and the Commanders did not. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Carnell Tate at pick 7, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Good price on Jonah Coleman in No. 71, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A clean, defensible pick in the 147th pick with a little surplus value in Jakobe Thomas. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A tidy little value on Trey Moore in slot 187, a step better than break-even. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Isaiah World reach Round 6, Pick 28 and blink. They did not. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Justin Jefferson in the Round 7 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
