They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Evan Anderson, 33 picks early at the Round 7 slot.
That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 32 they get a true top target. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Payton Wilson in the Round 2 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
The board had cheaper options than Matt Goncalves at the 95th overall pick, and it noticed. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
James Williams at Round 4, Pick 33 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Jaylen Wright at the 158th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Christian Jones at pick No. 172 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A straight-up fair deal on Myles Jones at pick No. 210, value and slot in agreement. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Evan Anderson this early at the 250th overall pick. The roster fit checks out.
