The Commanders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Commanders spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
The Rosengarten reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That Sainristil pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 2nd pick they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
Ladd McConkey in No. 36 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They jumped the gun on Chris Braswell, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It fills a real need, too.
The board had cheaper options than Cooper Beebe at pick No. 67, and it noticed. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Mike Sainristil at slot 100 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Value said wait; Tommy Eichenberg in the Round 4 slot says they were not listening. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Roger Rosengarten at pick 141 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A reach for Christian Jones in Round 6, Pick 6; a little patience would have been rewarded. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jawhar Jordan is a better player than pick 223 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
