Some picks age like wine; Mikail Kamara at pick No. 127 will need to, sitting 27 spots clear of his grade. No fireworks, but a solid B.
They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. The Styles pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a coverage-and-run second-level piece, and a steal at that.
Nothing to complain about; Chase Bisontis went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Mikail Kamara in the Round 4 slot, miles early. It fills a real need, too.
Fair-plus on Trey Zuhn III, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A tidy little value on Oscar Delp in pick No. 138, a step better than break-even. A need, and now a little less of one.
A straight-up fair deal on Jakobe Thomas at No. 139, value and slot in agreement. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
