The board owed the Commanders one, and it paid up: Nehemiah Pritchett, the No. 140 name on the board, sitting there at the 180th pick like a gift left on the doorstep. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. If Liufau pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

The Commanders clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
