When a board-topper like Jordan James slides to pick 141, you do not overthink it, and the Vikings did not.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They left with safety solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
Nothing to complain about; T.J. Sanders went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Jake Majors at the Round 3 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Good price on Donovan Jackson in pick No. 97, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
They will replay Malachi Moore at slot 109 for years; that is how good the value is. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
